From Matthew Myrold, workshop lead:

Natural disasters, power outages, supply chain disruptions, or civil unrest can occur without warning, cutting off access to grocery stores or clean water sources. In such times, having reliable, nutrient-dense foods and safe drinking water ensures that you and your family remain healthy, energized, and focused—when those qualities matter most.

As an avid outdoorsperson with over 40 years of experience in various modalities and someone who believes it is essential to ensure my family is prepared, I cannot overstate the importance of maintaining a long-term supply of shelf-stable food and clean water.

Preparedness is not panic—it is a proactive investment in self-reliance and security. A well-stocked pantry and water reserve give you time, peace of mind, and the flexibility to respond wisely when systems fail or recovery takes time. Resilience starts with readiness.

During this three-part series, we will explore what you already have and create a list of items to stock up on that meet the needs of you and your loved ones. I look forward to seeing you soon.

This series will focus on food storage preparation for 14 days. I will also create a series for learning about longer-term preparation in October/November.

All sessions will be recorded and made available for registered participants to view.
